We have extensive experience in dealing with a wide range of planning challenges, including urban and rural development, heritage conservation district policies, economic development, community improvement, source water protection, minimum distance separation calculations, shoreline management practices, recreational vehicle licensing controls, alternative energy systems etc. We specialize in providing services to municipalities in preparing new official plans and undertaking 5-year reviews, also the preparation of comprehensive zoning by-laws, holding and temporary use by-laws, community improvement plans and development control (e.g. review of applications for subdivisions, consents, minor variances, official plan and zoning amendments).
Glenn Tunnock, President, MPA, RPP
Glenn has over 35 years as a practicing land use planner in Canada. He has prepared over 60 Official Plans and Zoning By-laws and has provided a variety of consulting services to over 200 municipalities across Ontario. Glenn is a strong advocate of sustainable healthy communities and the stewardship of the natural environment. Much of his career has been spent in working with rural and small urban communities in Eastern and Northern Ontario in finding pragmatic community-based solutions to land use planning issues.
Glenn also has extensive Ontario Municipal Board experience in both mediation and Board hearings.
Glenn has also developed a unique financial model to assist municipalities of all sizes in developing self-sustaining fee structures for planning applications and building permits.
